LIFEGUARD

Position: Lifeguard
Start Date: As soon as possible
Division: Secondary
Status: Full-time
Location: TH School Hoa Lac Campus
Reports to: Secondary Principal
Salary: TBA


SUMMARY:
Providing general supervision that ensures the safety of persons in the swimming center by preventing and responding to emergencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains constant surveillance of students in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of students in the event of emergency.
2. Assists and supports the lead teacher with swim instruction and pool safety
3. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
4. Performs general poolside maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
5. Prepares and maintains the pool area for lessons
6. Organizes and manages pool instructional resources
7. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the school
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. CPR Certified
2. Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training or willing to train for Lifeguard certification
3. Excellent water safety skills
4. Confident and able swimmer
