Construction Manager Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Construction manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for contractors and be expected to liaise between crew members and management. You must possess strong organizational and communication skills and work proficiently both individually and in teams.
Construction Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations
• Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
• Enforce all workplace policies and procedures
• Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees
• Conduct staff performance reviews
• Maintain and adhere to departmental budget
• Approve project plans
• Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner
• Track and monitors project progress, adhering to prearranged standards
• Ensure compliance across the work site
• Review all project contracts before submitting to management
• Answer inquiries from potential project partners
• Mediate on-site conflicts
• Prepare and submits bi-monthly progress reports
Construction Manager Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or vocational school
• 3-5 years experience in a construction environment or project-based work site
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) desired, but not required
• Budget management experience required
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Familiarity with developing a Site Safety plan
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed)
